Hello

So far to this point we are having a blessed time. We have seen some of the Seven churches mentioned in Revelation: Thyatira, Ladicea, Philadelphia, Sardis (more on Monday)

We also have visited these other places: Topkapi Palace, The Blue mosque (Sultan Ahmed Mosque), St. Sofia, Hippodrome, the Obelisk, Aphrodisias, Artamis temple Heirapolis (land of the dead).

So much there has been seen this week, not enough time to really grasp all that is here. We leave on Tuesday to Greece… please keep us in your prayers during this trip.

Also it is 4am here and 8pm there, we are 8 hours ahead… so all this might not make much sense, I will fix it later…

Just some Pics

Philadelphia: one of the seven churches of Asia

Philadelphia, modern-day Alasehir, another of the Seven Churches of Asia (Rev. 1:11;3:7). There we see the remains of a Byzantine basilica and 11th century frescoes.

Sardis: one of the seven churches of Asia

These are pictures from the church at Sardis. This is one of the most picturesque sites of the Seven Churches of Asia (Rev. 1:11; 3:1-4) and the capital of the ancient Lydian kingdom of the 6th century B.C.

Notice the picture that looks kinda like a pie, this is the symbol that Christians in that time would put on the ground to show that there are other Christians in that city. This way the City officials did not know what it meant but visiting Christians would have.

This picture, with me standing in them are in the synagogue at Sardis, they called this the Torah (this is the area where the Torah might have been read)
